Every new kitchen starts with taking the old one out. Done carefully, the strip-out protects your home, keeps services safe and leaves a clean space ready for the new kitchen.
1. Protecting your home
Before anything is removed, we protect floors, stairs, doorways and adjoining rooms. Dust sheets and floor protection stay down for the whole project.
2. Safe disconnection
Water is isolated and capped, electrical circuits are made safe, and gas appliances are disconnected by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Nothing is removed until it is safe to do so.
3. Removing units, worktops and appliances
Wall units, base units, worktops, tiles where needed and old appliances are taken out. We check the walls behind for damp, damage or old pipework that needs attention.
4. Waste removal
All waste is taken away and disposed of responsibly. In London, where skips are often impractical or need permits, we remove the waste for you so it does not sit outside your home.
5. Preparing for the new kitchen
Once the room is clear, first-fix plumbing and electrics can start, and walls are prepared for the new units.
Can I keep parts of my old kitchen?

Frequently asked questions
How long does kitchen removal take?
For most kitchens, removal and disposal are completed on the first day of the project.
Do I need a skip?
Usually not. We take the waste away ourselves, which avoids skip permits and having a skip outside your home.
Can old appliances be removed too?
Yes. Let us know which appliances are being replaced and we will disconnect and remove them, or keep them aside if you plan to sell or reuse them.
What if you find damp behind the old units?
We show you what we have found, explain the options and agree any extra work before continuing, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
