Wren is one of the most popular kitchen brands in the UK, and many London homeowners choose to have their Wren kitchen fitted by an independent installer. Here is what the process looks like when you work with Surchan Kitchen.
Check the delivery first
Wren kitchens usually arrive in a large number of boxes. Before installation we check the delivery against the order so that missing or damaged items can be reported to Wren straight away. Spotting a missing end panel on day one avoids a delay on day five.
Rigid units vs flat-pack
Many Wren ranges are supplied as rigid (pre-assembled) cabinets, which speeds up fitting. Where items arrive flat-packed, assembly time is included in our quote. Either way, units are levelled carefully — essential on the uneven floors common in London homes.
What our Wren installation includes
- Removal and disposal of your old kitchen.
- Fitting base, wall and tall units, doors, drawers, plinths and end panels.
- Integrated appliances installed to manufacturer specification.
- Laminate and wood worktops cut on site; stone worktops coordinated with your supplier.
- Plumbing, electrics and gas hob connection by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
- Tiling, splashbacks, plastering and decorating if required.
Keeping your warranty valid
Appliances and units are installed exactly as the manufacturer specifies, so your product warranties remain valid. On top of that, our own workmanship is covered by a written guarantee.

Frequently asked questions
Can you fit a Wren kitchen I have already bought?
Yes. Most of our Wren customers buy the kitchen directly from Wren and ask us to install it. We check the delivery and the plan before starting.
Do you install Wren worktops?
Yes. We cut and fit laminate and solid wood worktops on site and coordinate templating and fitting for stone worktops.
Will using an independent fitter affect my Wren warranty?
Your product warranty covers the products themselves. We install units and appliances to the manufacturer’s specification, and our own workmanship is covered by a written guarantee.
How long does a Wren kitchen take to fit?
Most Wren kitchens are fitted in one to two weeks, depending on size, the trades involved and whether stone worktops are being made.
